41st issue

Dear Readers,

What comes to your mind when you hear the word style? Dressing style? Speaking style? Or perhaps lifestyle? In this issue, we explore this fascinating and multifaceted topic.

In our Portrétár section, we asked our Finnish interviewee, Ari Kupsus, who has twice won the title of the best-dressed man in Helsinki, about style. He worked as the stylist of Nobel Peace Prize winner Martti Ahtisaari, former President of the Republic of Finland, as well as of several ministers.

The interplay of appearance, speech behaviour, behavioural culture and interaction with our fellow human beings has long been of interest to Dr Gabriella Nádudvari, who created the gap-filling postgraduate style communicator programme. Launched in 2007 at the University of Szeged, the course has been unique in Europe to date. Find out more about the training in an interview with its founder and in our country profile.

Six months ago, Japanese students of Hungarian introduced themselves in our Egyetemi körkép series. Now, in our Magyarok a nagyvilágban section, you can read about Dr Tamás Fehérvári, a fellow Hungarian, who has moved to Japan, and his daughter, who was born in Yokohama and speaks fluent Hungarian as well as Japanese and Chinese.

And in this issue's University Panorama, South Korean students of Hungarian present their department.

We invite you on an interesting journey from Hungary via Japan to South Korea, and you can even improve your Hungarian language skills along the way – please take the current issue of Magyarul Tanulo(ó)k with you!

Enjoy browsing.
