18th issue

Dear Readers!

Protection of the environment, sensible waste management and waste separation are very important to all our members of staff. This is why we were so particularly keen to gather material for this main theme of our current issue, coming across a lot of interesting details in doing so: we got to know artists who turn waste into pretty objects of daily use, admired the “products“ of environmental awareness workshops and even visited an antique dealer dedicated to repairing and selling old pieces. The Hungarian waste management law is currently being amended which is why this time we refrained from examining the topic from the legal perspective.

The section Portrétár took us overseas to meet the inventors of the online gift store GiftOnline. Seeing as our magazine is distributed in 32 countries already, we hope that many of our readers will avail themselves of this reliable way of gift shopping.

We are pleased to announce that as of the current issue we are working together with the Office for Hungarian Languages Services. To prepare the exercises for section Tarkabarka on Hungarianising foreign words we used the Office’s homepage which, incidentally, we strongly recommend to students of the Hungarian language too.

For 2013 we wish all our readers many happy hours learning and perfecting the Hungarian language!
